- Jesus hears the prayers of the outcast and marginalized (Quote; Luke 17:11-13; Psalm 147:3-7; Jeremiah 30:17: Isaiah 56:8; John 4:9-10)
- Obeying and abiding brings healing and hope (Luke 17:14-16; Hebrews 11:13)
- The truly thankful glorify God (Luke 17:17-19; Esther 3:2; Romans 1:21-22; James 1:22; 2 Corinthians 4:15)

I don’t have to go around saying thank you to everybody. I have to know what somebody is doing before I say thank you. I’m not just going to go around and saying thank you just because people say things that’s supposed to be true. (http://www.theroot.com/lavar- ball-vs-donald-trump-the-epic- cnn-smackdown-1820631233)
Luke 17:11-13
11 As Jesus continued on toward Jerusalem, he reached the border between Galilee and Samaria. 12 As he entered a village there, ten lepers stood at a distance, 13 crying out, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!"
Psalm 147:3-7
3 The LORD heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds. 4 He counts the stars and calls them all by name. 5 How great is our Lord! His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension! 6 The LORD supports the humble, but he brings the wicked down into the dust. 7 Sing out your thanks to the LORD.
Jeremiah 30:17
17 I will give you back your health and heal your wounds," says the LORD. "For you are called an outcast—'Jerusalem for whom no one cares.'"
Isaiah 56:8
8 For the Sovereign LORD, who brings back the outcasts of Israel, says: "I will bring others, too, besides my people Israel."
John 4:9-10
9 The woman was surprised, for Jews refuse to have anything to do with Samaritans. She said to Jesus, "You are a Jew, and I am a Samaritan woman. Why are you asking me for a drink?" 10 Jesus replied, "If you only knew the gift God has for you..."
Luke 17:14-16
14 He looked at them and said, "Go show yourselves to the priests." And as they went, they were cleansed of their leprosy. 15 One of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back to Jesus, shouting, "Praise God!" 16 He fell to the ground at Jesus' feet, thanking him for what he had done. This man was a Samaritan.
Hebrews 11:13,35
13 All these people died still believing what God had promised them. They did not receive what was promised, but they saw it all from a distance and welcomed it. They agreed that they were foreigners and nomads here on earth. 35 But others were tortured, refusing to turn from God in order to be set free. They placed their hope in a better life after the resurrection.
Luke 17:17-19
17 Jesus asked, "Didn't I heal ten men? Where are the other nine? 18 Has no one returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?" 19 And Jesus said to the man, "Stand up and go. Your faith has healed you."
Esther 3:2
2 All the king's officials would bow down before Haman to show him respect whenever he passed by, for so the king had commanded. But Mordecai refused to bow down or show him respect.
Romans 1:21-22
21 Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn't worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. 22 Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools.
James 1:22
22 But don't just listen to God's word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.
2 Corinthians 4:15 (Scripture)
15 All of this is for your benefit. And as God's grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory.
