Revelation 22:7

7 Look, I am coming soon! Blessed are those who obey the words of prophecy written in this book.

1 John 5:3-4

3 Loving God means keeping his commandments, and his commandments are not burdensome. 4 For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.

Revelation 14:12

12 This means that God’s holy people must endure persecution patiently, obeying his commands and maintaining their faith in Jesus.

Revelation 22:14 NLT

14 Blessed are those who wash their robes. They will be permitted to enter through the gates of the city and eat the fruit from the tree of life.

Revelation 22:14 KJV

14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city

John 7:19

19 Moses gave you the law, but none of you obeys it! In fact, you are trying to kill me.

Revelation 22:17

17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life.

Revelation 21:6

6 And he also said, “It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega—the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life.

Galatians 2:21

21 I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.

Galatians 5:4-5

4 For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace. 5 But we who live by the Spirit eagerly wait to receive by faith the righteousness God has promised to us.

Ephesians 2:8-10

8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. 10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

Comparison Revelation 22:14

They that do his commandments (KJV)

οἱ ποιοῦντες τὰς ἐντολὰς

Those who wash their robes (NLT)

οἱ πλύνοντες τὰς στολὰς

Revelation 7:13-14

13 Then one of the twenty-four elders asked me, “Who are these who are clothed in white? Where did they come from?” 14 And I said to him, “Sir, you are the one who knows.” Then he said to me, “These are the ones who died in the great tribulation. They have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb and made them white."

Revelation 5:9-10

9 For you were slaughtered, and your blood has ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.

Isaiah 61:10

10 I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness. I am like a bridegroom dressed for his wedding or a bride with her jewels.

Zechariah 3:4

4 So the angel said to the others standing there, “Take off his filthy clothes.” And turning to Jeshua he said, “See, I have taken away your sins, and now I am giving you these fine new clothes.”

Revelation 12:11

11 And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony.

John 7:37

37 On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!

If any man can merit salvation by anything he may do, then he is in the same position as the Catholic to do penance for his sins. If man cannot, by any of his good works, merit salvation, then it must be wholly of grace, received by man as a sinner because he receives and believes in Jesus. - Ellen White, Faith and Works, pp.19-20

John 6:28-29

28 They replied, “We want to perform God’s works, too. What should we do?” 29 Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”

John 15:5

5 Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.

Philippians 4:13

13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

Galatians 2:20

20 My old self has been crucified with Christ.  It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.

Romans 6:9-11

9 We are sure of this because Christ was raised from the dead, and he will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him. 10 When he died, he died once to break the power of sin. But now that he lives, he lives for the glory of God. 11 So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 1:6

6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

Exodus 33:15

15 Your presence among us sets your people and me apart from all other people on the earth.

John 13:35

35 Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.
