Psalm 119:164-167
164 I will praise [הָלַל halal - praise dance] you seven times a day because all your regulations are just. 165 Those who love your instructions have great peace and do not stumble. 166 I long for your rescue, Lord, so I have obeyed your commands [מִצְוָה mitsvah]. 167 I have obeyed your laws, for I love them very much.

 

Genesis 26:5
5 I will do this because Abraham listened to me and obeyed all my requirements, commands [מִצְוָה mitsvah], decrees, and instructions.

 

Exodus 16:28
28 The Lord asked Moses, “How long will these people refuse to obey my commands [מִצְוָה mitsvah] and instructions?

Deuteronomy 5:22
22 The Lord spoke these words to all of you assembled there at the foot of the mountain. He spoke with a loud voice from the heart of the fire, surrounded by clouds and deep darkness. This was all he said at that time, and he wrote his words on two stone tablets and gave them to me.

Deuteronomy 5:29
29 Oh, that they would always have hearts like this, that they might fear me and obey all my commands [מִצְוָה mitsvah]! If they did, they and their descendants would prosper forever.

Psalm 119:164-167

Psalm 149:1-3
1 Praise [הָלַל halal - praise dance] the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song. Sing his praises in the assembly of the faithful. 2 O Israel, rejoice in your Maker. O people of Jerusalem, exult in your King. 3 Praise [הָלַל halal] his name with dancing, accompanied by tambourine and harp.

Psalm 144:9
9 I will sing a new song to you, O God! I will sing your praises [זָמַר zamar - instruments galore] with a ten-stringed harp.

Psalm 42:1-4
1 As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God. 2 I thirst for God, the living God. When can I go and stand before him? 3 Day and night I have only tears for food, while my enemies continually taunt me, saying, “Where is this God of yours?” 4 My heart is breaking as I remember how it used to be: I walked among the crowds of worshipers, leading a great procession to the house of God, singing for joy and giving thanks [תּוֹדָה towdah - worship not worry] amid the sound of a great celebration!

Psalm 95:6-7
6 Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel [בָּרַךְ barak - kneeling] before the Lord our maker, 7 for he is our God.

Psalm 100:4
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise [תְּהִלָּה tehillah - hymns].

Psalm 63:3
3 Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise [שָׁבַח shabach - shouting] you!

Colossians 3:16
16 Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.

40 But be sure that everything is done properly and in order.
